GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS
The Gazette’s mission is to inform and inspire those who live in the parish of Elmdon and Wenden Lofts. Contributions are most welcome on any topic that is likely to be of interest to our community, providing they do not cause offence to others.
We accept articles by email to theparishgazette@gmail.com he deadline for submissions is the 15th of each month, but please talk to us before you write your piece, so we that can confirm if there is enough space.
Text
• We request that where possible submissions are in the form
of a Word document
• Please discuss with us first if you need to submit your piece in another format
• If you do not have a computer, we will accept paper submissions
• Please spell check your work before sending
• Each page can accommodate approximately 350 words, fewer if there are images (200 word limit)
Images
• Images are great as they liven up our pages, but please submit as separate JPEG files, in, ideally, landscape orientation, rather than embedding within your Word document
• Images are printed in black and white in the paper edition of The Gazette, so please ensure that they are clear, well defined and of a suitably high resolution for printing
• All persons photographed should confirm that they are happy to be featured in The Gazette
• Photographs of children under the age of 16 must be
submitted with parent or guardian approval prior to publishing • Images should be credited where necessary
